Anima Mishra, (MASLP, CCC-SLP, CAS, ADHD-CRSP) is nationally and internationally certified in the field of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She has extensive experience in working with individuals with communication impairments particularly with school age children and adolescents with Autism, Attention Deficits Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and Central Auditory Processing Disorders across India and the United States. After spending half a decade supervising and guiding Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students in Speech and Hearing Sciences, writing research papers and developing indigenous assessment tools, Anima moved to the United States where she learned and implemented several evidence-based therapy techniques and earned several certifications. Along with Life Membership of Indian Speech and Hearing Association, Anima holds Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Anima has further taken a leap and earned the credential of Certified Autism Specialist and Certified ADHD Rehabilitation Service Provider. Anima has training in using PROMPT (level 1) which is a multidimensional approach to speech production disorders which embraces not only the well-known physical-sensory aspects of motor performance, but also its cognitive-linguistic and social-emotional aspects. She is also trained in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS level 1) which is a unique alternative/augmentative communication system to teach functional communication to children with cognitive, physical and communication challenges. She has deep understanding of Gestalt Language Processing and methods of Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) and is NLA trained. Along with the above she is certified in Play Therapy for children with special needs. She is also trained in LSVT LOUD which is an effective therapy method for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions.
